A heavy snowstorm closed the schools in one town.
When the children returned to school a few days later, one grade school teacher asked her students whether they had used the time away from school constructively.
“I sure did, teacher,” one little girl replied. “I just prayed for more snow.”
It was a disastrous year for the farmers.
The snow fell and fell until the government relief agency had to step in and lend a hand.
“It must have been terrible,” said the government man to a farmer. “All that snow.”
“Could have been worse,” calmly answered the farmer. “My neighbour had more snow than me.”
“How’s that?” asked the government man.
“More land,” replied the farmer.
Late again
Teacher: “Why are you late this morning?”
Student: “It’s my alarm clock. Everyone got up except me!”
Teacher: “How did the alarm clock make you the only one not to get up?”
Student: “There are eight of us in the my family and the alarm clock was only set for seven.”
Sunday School Teacher:
“Now Little Johnny, I want you to memorize today’s motto, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Little Johnny: “Yes mam, but I know it already. My father says he has always used that as his motto in his business.”
Teacher: “Oh, how noble of him! And what is his business?”
Little Johnny: “He’s a boxer.”
