Mary Ann and John Bush are a kind couple from Knoxville, TN. Every Sunday, they make 75 sack lunches filled with delicious food for homeless people in their community.
They started with 50 lunches but increased the number over time. Each lunch includes a sandwich with meat and cheese, a piece of fruit, snacks, and a bottle of water.
The bags are signed with the words, “Love, Jenny.” This phrase is a tribute to their daughter, Jenny, who sadly struggled with bipolar disorder, addiction, and homelessness before passing away.
The homeless individuals in Knoxville eagerly await these Sunday sack lunches, appreciating the love and care put into each meal.
